Last week one of my clients reached out to me to discuss a potential acquisition of a business that is completely outside of the industry that he is in right now. He was very excited about the opportunity, as it allows him to support a business that has been part of his community for a long time. I could be the perfect sounding board for him to share his vision, which he could not share with others within his existing company.
We talked through the pros and cons and I listened as he talked through many of the thoughts going through his mind. After our discussion, he felt a lot better about the direction in which he is heading. I will be helping him review the business financials and appraisals for this opportunity to make sure it makes sense for him. Being able to listen to my clients and give them an outlet to share business ideas that they may not be able to share anywhere else is one of the most fulfilling aspects of what I do!
